The original tasks app for BlackBerry was overly simplistic yet difficult to use. It was very flat from a visual standpoint, making it difficult to prioritize tasks at different levels of priority. It also provided limited flexibility and granularity, forcing users to have to change their behavior to accomodate the program’s rigidity.
The new tasks app has the right balance between ease of use and powerful features. The interface has been given a complete facelift through the use of textures sampled from stationary supplies, vibrant and distinguishable colours and drastically improved information hierarchy. Furthermore, it makes it easy to collect tasks while on the fly, and easily organize and prioritize them, thanks to improved interactions that are centered around the user’s behavior.
