Consumption by Distance

As my first information design project, I recorded various elements of my consumption behaviour over the course of a week, then put a particular aspect of my consumption habits into visual information.

This diagram delivers comparison between the amount of money I spend relative to my distance from home. It also gives detailed insight into the specific type of consumption at any point in time and at any place, over the course of that week. The scale of the circles indicate the price of the product, while the radius that connects it indicates the distance from the my home. The circular form helps to create a focal and central point (home) and the information is displayed accordingly. Each product purchased is listed clearly in the legend.
