To take BoundbySound further, my friends and I have plans to host a large-scale electronic music festival in the near future. As part of this planning, I designed a bilingual promotional system (in both English and French) for the festival, which is to be held in Toronto. The system consists of an event poster, tickets, a program as well as on-site environmental markers.
The concept is based on the overlaying of numerous music clips, beats and melodies that come together in sync to form a cohesive sound. The typographic approach mimics the process of creating electronic music, and translates the rhythms and depth of sound visually. I created a chaotic aesthetic through typography and allowed words to overlap in certain areas to form a legible message.
